Playa de Jandia
The Beach
Playa de Jandia is often hailed as one of the best beaches in Europe and the World.
With its golden sand and crystal clear water, it is clear to see why. Due to the outstanding natural beauty of the beaches in the South of Fuerteventura, the area has been a nature reserve since 1987.
Jandia beach is a wide natural beach, and stretches an almost endless 32km, so you never have to worry about it getting over-crowded!
Just a few meters further, you can find a deserted bay. Please be sure to observe the times of low and high tide.
Water Sports
There is a water sports centre just a couple of minutes walk along the beach from the villa, where you can learn to windsurf and sail. Just 10 minutes drive from the villa lies the world famous Playa Sotavento, where the annual wind surfing and kite surfing championships are held in summer. This is a great place for beginners and experts alike, as there is almost always guaranteed wind, and the shallow lagoon is a safe place for lessons.
Surfing is mainly practiced on the north coasts of the Island, and El Cotillo is a haven for those who like to catch waves, both on a surf board and kite board. There is also a Quicksilver surf school in the more popular resort of Corralejo, which offers lessons for all abilities and also a surf camp.
Morro Jable
Dining & Bars
There are many good restaurants within walking distance from Winmar Paradise Villa. You can take a stroll down to the village of Morro Jable and choose from the many establishments situated on the promenade, where you will be able to enjoy dinner with spectacular sea views. As the town is a traditional fishing village, many restaurants have their freshly caught fish supplied by the so-called “Cofradia”. If you take a stroll by the harbor in Morro after the catch, you can see the hustle and bustle of the fishermen on land and the manta rays in the water, looking out for any scraps that may be dropped.
The Coronado restaurant at the end of the villa’s road is also highly recommended. The menu is extensive and caters to a wide range of tastes, and the long standing bar men serve great cocktails. The best paella can be enjoyed at “Barraca” in Tarajalejo, approximately 40km away.

Casa Winter
Excursions, including quad bike, jeep and dune buggy excursions are run from Jandia to this historic villa at Cofete Beach.
The road leading to the villa is mainly a dirt track, so if you wish to explore on your own, it is advisable to hire a 4×4.
The villa was believed to have been built in 1946, and is steeped in history revolving around conspiracy theories that it was a stop off point for Nazi soldiers fleeing Europe on their voyage to South America after World War II.

Oasis Zoological Park
This zoo is situated in La Lajita, around a 20 minutes drive from Paradise Villa.
On Sundays, the famous weekly market is held here, offering a variety of goods and a garden center. With fresh vegetables and handicrafts, it is always interesting and informative, and the typically Canarian “Churros con Chocolate” are enjoyed by many here.
Along with seeing exotic animals, here you can also go on a camel safari, admire the unique plant life in the botanical garden with different species of cacti, and watch the birds of prey and parrot shows.
